Biography

Rojna Avaei (aka Skye Cobalt) is a Persian digital artist and animator currently based in Toronto. 

Born and raised in Iran, Rojna immigrated to Canada in 2011 and completed her education in Toronto, and has lived here since. She discovered her passion for all things related to animation, art, and film with the goal to create diverse characters and bring their story to life through digital illustrations and animation. Through her years at OCAD University, Rojna discovered her particular taste in cartoony-anime style work, looking to continuously hone and master her craft. Rojna's art mainly revolves around the themes of fantasy, self-exploration, as well as world-building. 

Though she specializes in digital illustration and animation, she has also dabbled in traditional painting, 3D modelling, video editing, and sculpting.
